At Futures Community Voice we worked together with local artist, Aimi Rix, to combine the vision she had for the painting of the tunnels in Marsh Farm and the Street Makeovers scheme. We applied for funding from The Health Lottery to help us with this project, which we were successfully awarded.
We had an amazing group of volunteers of all ages join in with the fun. Everyone worked extremely hard and we think you’ll agree they did an excellent job.
We had great support from the residents and also the Local Councillors for which we are very grateful. During this project the Community Voice members gave up a lot of their time to help, including cleaning weeds and rubbish at the entrance to the tunnels.
It has made such a difference to the area already. Bringing colour to the grey structures has really helped to brighten the area.
