- Community Business Weekend, Thursday 16th May to Sunday 19th May, has been held across the country encouraging people to visit a community business near them to find out why community business matters.
As part of Community Business weekend–, Marsh Farm Futures held a drop in tea party inviting local residents who are interested in setting up a community business to come in and talk about their plans and ideas and the potential benefits of setting one up.
Speaking at the event, Ishaq Kazi, Programme Manager and event organiser said:” Our community is full of talented people who have plans and ideas that they’d like to see materialise into community businesses that will be of benefit to the local area.
“I’m confident that some of their ideas will be in place in the near future.”
Jan Cooper who attended the event, said: “We came to find out more about setting up a community business. Ishaq was full of useful information and advice and has boosted our confidence to go ahead with our ideas.”
