For the third year running, residents, family and friends gathered at Lea Manor Fields on Saturday 7th April 2018, to take part in and support a football tournament to commemorate the anniversary of Ajay, a young person from Marsh Farm, who tragically passed away in 2016.
There were around 80 people in attendance and £234 was raised towards helping young people in the Marsh Farm area in whatever capacity; books, transport, family emergencies etc.
Event Organiser, Cathy McShane, Communities Manager for Marsh Farm Futures said: “This is such an enjoyable event that brings young people together. Some of the young people involved knew and grew up with Ajay and it is a befitting tribute to a young man whose life was cut short. Thank you to all who took part in and supported the tournament. I look forward to doing it all again next year and many more to come.
The winning team, for the third time were LU Galaxy.
